Newmarket Holidays has unveiled its Lapland Santa Experience day trips for the 2019 festive season.
The packages include direct, chartered flights to Pajala in Swedish Lapland – 100 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle – plus a ‘Search for Santa’ experience and a private family meeting with Father Christmas.
There are also activities such as a snowmobile ride, a traditional reindeer sleigh ride and husky sledding.
Richard Forde, head of trade sales, urged agents to early book for next year.
“With only 12 flights from regional airports, once they’re gone, they’re gone,” he said.
“This season, several dates sold out quickly, which led to some disappointment amongst children of all ages.”
Newmarket is offering agents a free luxury hamper for the first booking per agency made with the 2019 Lapland programme during December. All bookings for 2019 made by March 31 qualify for a deposit of £50 per person.
Agents who want to try the experience for themselves can apply for places on Newmarket’s agents’ concession programme, which offers places with 15% off the full price.
