Ryanair creates Belgian hub

Ryanair is creating a hub in Belgium to provide connections between 27 routes.

Passengers flying via Charleroi airport, 45 minutes south of Brussels, will have bags checked through to their final destination when switching aircraft.

They will transfer airside between connecting flights without having to go landside at the airport.

Connections via Charleroi include Lisbon-Prague, Ibiza- Warsaw and Faro-Krakow.

No UK or Ireland routes are included but flights are available until March 2020.

Ryanair’s Benelux, France and Morocco sales and marketing manager Yann Delomez said:“Ryanair is pleased to launch our connecting flights service at Brussels Charleroi airport with 27 routes available, including services to/from Alicante, Budapest, Milan Bergamo and Prague.

“Customers flying on these routes will be able to transfer onto their next flight at Brussels Charleroi without having to go landside, and will have their bags checked through to their final destination.”
