Canadian Affair recruits two trade sales executives

Canadian Affair is tripling the size of its travel trade team following a successful first six months of sales to agents.

The Canada specialist, which commenced sales to the trade in October 2018, has appointed Helen Tate and Stephanie Robertson as travel trade sales executives.

Tate will be based in Devon, covering sales in southwest England, and Robertson will be based in the Greater Manchester area, responsible for driving sales in northern England.

They report to travel trade manager, Jane Fraser, who took up her role in February.

Tate has more than 30 years’ travel industry experience, much of it in senior sales roles at tour operators and agents including The Travel Corporation, Titan Travel and Travelworld.

Robertson has held a range of travel industry sales and business development positions at companies including The Holiday Team, All Leisure Holidays, Insight Vacations and Trafalgar Tours.

Fraser spent 10 years as the UK’s travel trade representative for Destination British Columbia, before joining Insight Vacations as sales manager. She started her career at Thomas Cook Travel Management in 1992.

Lee Rogers, Canadian Affair’s product and commercial director, who leads its travel trade engagement programme, said: “Our first six months working with the travel trade have exceeded expectations, and we have started to build relationships with hundreds of agents across the UK.

“Canadian Affair values these relationships greatly and with their mix of experience and proven industry track records, Jane, Helen and Stephanie will play a crucial role in developing our travel industry engagement programme and delivering exceptional Canada holiday experiences to agents’ customers.”

Canadian Affair is planning a wide range of activity for its travel trade partners, including roadshow events across the UK, and a series of fam trips to different parts of Canada.
