On The Go Tours has recruited Julian Ghinn from tailor-made tour operator Scott Dunn as its new chief financial officer.
Ghinn qualified as an accountant while working for Arcadia – then Burton Group – in 1989 and became finance director for Virgin Megastores.
More recently, he held financial director roles for L.K. Bennett and Cath Kidston before being CFO at Scott Dunn.
Ghinn replaces Maria Stricker at the escorted tours operator and will report to managing director Carl Cross.
Ghinn said: “The recent investment by [private equity firm] Alcuin Capital Partners and the leadership by Carl Cross of a young and talented management team has set the business up for strong growth in the various markets it serves and I am looking forward to supporting them during the next phase of the journey.”
Cross added: “At a time of great growth and investment we needed an experienced and steady set of hands to help us unlock the business’s potential and that’s exactly what we’ve found in Julian.”
The investment by Alcuin Private Partners will enable On The Go Tours to develop its products, and expand its trade and retail partnerships.
