Advantage unveils touring and adventure magazine

Advantage Travel Partnership has launched a magazine called Explorers as part of its drive to help members capitalise on growth in touring and adventure holidays.

Announced at the consortium’s conference in Cadiz last month, Explorers will be published twice a year, featuring news and trends in the sector.

About 150 Advantage members have already signed up for Explorers, and they will also receive monthly emails plus access to training and marketing campaigns.

The first edition of Explorers was published on June 10, with a focus on solo travel, as well as tips from tour guides and news about events and destinations.

David Forder, Advantage’s head of marketing, said: “The launch of Explorers is another development within our efforts to create bespoke support for members through targeted communities, communications and collaborations.

“Not only will our Explorers members have access to dedicated marketing and information but also fellow agents within the community to share practical tips and first-hand experience.

“We are excited to launch this initiative with another member-exclusive publication to help them with the knowledge they require to educate and sell to their customers.”

A special touring focus month in April helped members achieve “double-digit” sales growth, thanks to offers, marketing material and incentives from suppliers.
