Princess Cruises to introduce escape rooms

Escape rooms at sea will feature on Princess Cruises two newest ships.

The ‘Phantom Bridge’ game will combine digital and physical challenges involving players captaining and steering a simulated ship through a range of historical and future time periods.

Lighting, sound and digital features create an interactive experience as players try to find the room’s exit key.

Passengers must work as a team to uncover clues and solve puzzles with the ‘ship’ transforming and responding to their actions.

Games last around 25 minutes and accommodate up to six people.

The Phantom Bridge will feature in a new ‘experience centre’ on board 3,660-passenger Sky Princess and Enchanted Princess.

Sky Princess sets sail in October, with the Phantom Bridge available from December.

The escape room will debut on Enchanted Princess when the ship is launched in Southampton in June 2020.
