Flexible Autos resumes all services after cyberattack

Flexible Autos has resumed all car hire services following a cyberattack,

The trade-only supplier was forced to stop taking new bookings when it was hit by the “malicious” attack on June 7, which it said had “compromised” its technology.

Existing bookings had not been affected.

Most destinations were back up and running by Tuesday this week, including the US, Spain, Portugal, France and Italy – but the operator today confirmed that all its services were back up and running.

Managing director Sue Dixon said: “We would like to thank all our agent partners for their support. The amount of understanding, loyalty and patience we have received during this challenging time has been overwhelming.

“We never thought something like this could happen to us. We now look forward to focusing on our amazing partners.”
