G Adventures to add sixth vessel to Galapagos fleet

G Adventures plans to introduce a sixth yacht to its fleet sailing in the Galapagos Islands from July 2020.

The 16-passenger Reina Silvia catamaran will allow G Adventures to sail to 20 different islands in the protected region, offering seven to 17-day itineraries.

All cabins have panoramic windows to allow passengers to see the ocean and artwork by naturalist photographers.

Two of the 10 cabins on board are dedicated to solo travellers. The other eight rooms have private balconies.

The ship’s third deck has lounge chairs for sunbathing, a covered cocktail bar, a grill station and an outdoor Jacuzzi.

Presentations by trained naturalists will take place in an indoor, air conditioned room with a large video screen.

Passengers will be able to complete landings in the region’s remote ports thanks to nine onboard kayaks and two zodiacs.

The ship will have a crew of nine including a dedicated chef.

All of the 2020 voyages will start and finish in the capital city of Quito, offering sailings round the eastern or western Galapagos.

Prices for an eight-day Galapagos – Central & Eastern Islands itinerary on Reina Silvia start from £4,299. Prices do not include flights.

Passengers sailing with G Adventures in the Galapagos will be handed free water bottles to use on their trip after single-use plastics were banned in the region earlier this year.
