APT is set to launch a new luxury river ship on the Mekong from October 2020.
The all-balcony 88-passenger AmaMekong vessel will have 44 suites and three dining venues.
Local dishes or western classics will be served in the main dining room or passengers can choose Vietnamese dishes in private dining room Indochine where TV chef Luke Nguyen has created a five-course menu.
A third dining venue switches between the Al Fresco café in the day to a barbecue grill area on selected nights.
The new-build ship also has a spa and wellness centre, a sundeck, pool area and a lounge where passengers can have afternoon tea.
AmaMekong will exclusively sail with APT, which has both the design and sailing rights for the ship.
All three of the line’s Cambodia and Vietnam itineraries will sail on AmaMekong from October 2020 and will be available to book exclusively through APT.
Prices for the 15-day Vietnam & Cambodia Highlights cruise and tour itinerary, departing on December 17, 2020, start from £4,995 per person.
To coincide with the AmaMekong announcement, APT has also released a new brochure – Asia River Cruising & Touring – which includes 13 itineraries in Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, China and Japan.
APT ambassador Nguyen will join a river cruise in Vietnam and Myanmar.
