Abta to address online payment rules at regional meetings

Abta is hosting a series of free regional meetings for members to discuss the implications of the new anti-fraud online payment rules.

Phase two of Europe’s Second Payment Services Directive (PSD2) comes into force on September 14, imposing new verification requirements for any payments made online of £30 or more.

Abta staff will discuss this and other industry developments, trends and policy updates at the events which will be held in 11 locations, listed below.

There will also be an opportunity for networking before and after the meetings with other members, as well as a chance to meet with the association’s senior management team.

Chief executive Mark Tanzer said: “With the ever-changing political and regulatory landscape our upcoming Regional Business Meetings come at a critical time and will provide our Members with an update on industry issues, as well as an overview of the latest Payment Services Directive update.

“The Meetings give our Members the chance to ask ABTA’s experts any questions they may have about their business or the industry more broadly and we look forward to welcoming them at the events.”
