Carnival Cruise Line launches search for next Fun Ambassadors

Carnival Cruise Line has appealed to agents to apply to be a Fun Ambassador in 2020.

Successful applicants will give the line advice, ideas and feedback in exchange for benefits, including an all-expenses paid trip to Ibiza in June.

The line said it is looking for agents from across the industry who have “a good sense of fun, a passion for cruising and plenty of good ideas”.

The Fun Ambassadors initiative was launched last year in a bid to help drive engagement with its trade programme, Loyalty Rocks Club.

Next year, the Fun Ambassadors will be required to attend three board meetings. Travel and other expenses will be covered by the line.

Double points on bookings registered on the line’s Loyalty Rocks Club and a place on a fam trip in May are two other benefits Fun Ambassadors will receive.

Travel Counsellor Kerry Cansdale was one of the first Fun Ambassadors taken on by the line this year.

She said: “Personally I have learned loads about Carnival itself and its also been really good getting to know the UK team and working closely with them.

“It was a brave move by Carnival to take on travel agents and look to them for guidance and ideas.

“Many cruise lines say they listen to agents, but I truly felt that Carnival wanted our ideas, listened and actually acted on them.”

To apply, agents must tell the line why it is fun being a travel agent and what they would bring to the Fun Ambassador role.

Agents have until October 31, 2019, to apply for the position at carnivalfa.com
