Saga uncorks Portuguese wine tour and Greek islands trip

Over-50s specialist Saga has added a Greek island-hopping tour and a Portuguese wine heritage holiday to its range for 2020.

The new Pearls of the Aegean holiday starts with four nights on Rhodes followed by a catamaran trip to Kos, for another four-night stay.

Guests will then travel to Patmos for three nights before returning to Rhodes for the final three nights.

The 14-night escorted tour costs from £1,599 on a twin-share basis, including flights from Gatwick and most meals.

Meanwhlie, the new Taste of the Douro Valley holiday features Oporto, Tabuaco, Amarante and Lamego, plus a day cruise and scenic train ride through the Douro valley.

It also includes a tasting at the Quinta da Padrela winery in Tabuaco, and a visit to the port cellar of Vila Nova de Gaia, in Oporto.

The escorted tour costs from £799 for seven nights including flights from Gatwick or Manchester and half-board accommodation on a twin-share basis.
