Heathrow gains new Ibis hotel

A new budget Ibis hotel close to Heathrow is to open before the new year.

The 125-room Ibis Styles London Heathrow Airport East on the A4 Great West Road will be a 15-minute drive from Heathrow Terminal 5 and close to Hounslow East Underground station.

The hotel will be piloting new shampoo and body wash dispensers, claimed to be a sustainable solution, replacing the current Ibis ‘swing’ dispensers.

Car parking will be available as well as a meeting room with capacity for 25 people.

The property is the fourth Accor branded hotel developed by franchise partner Splendid Hospitality after Ibis York Centre, Mercure Hotel Leeds Centre and Mercure Bristol Brigstow Hotel.

Accor Northern Europe development vice president Philip Lassman said: “We’re thrilled to announce the opening of the latest addition to the ibis Styles network, bringing us to the significant milestone of 25 ibis Styles hotels in the UK.

“We’re seeing considerable appetite from investors and owners for the brands like Ibis Styles that have international recognition while offering an element of flexibility and local feel.

This exciting development with Splendid Hospitality plays perfectly to ibis Styles’ reputation for delivering an upbeat, stylish hotel experience for guests.”

Splendid Hospitality vice chairman Nadeem Boghani said: ‘This is the 20th trading hotel in our group and our fourth hotel with Accor, demonstrating the continued growth of our partnership.

“The site is well positioned to serve the local community, corporate guests and Heathrow traffic. We look forward to building on our relationship with Accor and future developments.”
