Disney appoints new trade sales director

Disney Destinations International has recruited Tracey Silverwood as its new director of trade sales, marketing and transport for the UK.

Her recruitment is part of Disney Destinations’ expansion plans across the UK, Ireland and EMEA regions for its portfolio of parks and resorts including Walt Disney World, Disneyland Paris and Disney Cruise Line.

Silverwood will be supporting Angelica Constantini who is taking on the role of vice-president marketing and sales UK and Ireland for Disneyland Paris from Peter Welch who retires on February 14.

Silverwood brings 30 years of experience in distribution and retail.

She began her career in travel as a travel agent at Tui, later becoming shop manager and then senior commercial manager.

She joins Disney from Hotelbeds where she held the position of director of global theme parks, resorts and cruise.

Currently based in Orlando, Silverwood will relocate to London and start her new role on January 23.
