Saga has unveiled the winners of its Saga Stars competition to find seven travel agents who have shown their support with sales and promotional activity.
The winners are Rachel Jones, manager from Miles Morgan; Ian Le-Fevre from Travel Counsellors; Suzi Anderson, travel consultant from Acomb Travel; Poppy Outram, cruise expert from Bolsover Cruise Club; Vikki Lomas, senior travel consultant from Prestbury Travel; Ian Warren, cruise specialist from GoCruise and Travel; and Amber Bellinger, marketing executive from Reader Offers Ltd.
Each Saga Super Star wins a holiday valued at £1,000 and they also have the chance to win £500 worth of shopping vouchers.
The Stars will have support for marketing, events and visits from a dedicated Saga trade team member – and an invitation to a VIP Christmas lunch in December.
Furthermore, the winners will join a two-night trade event onboard Saga’s cruise ship, Spirit of Adventure, before its inaugural cruise.
All entrants had completed a Saga Experts programme and impressed the judges by promoting Saga and acting as an ambassador for the travel brand within their own business.
During 2020, the Stars will have two dedicated Saga event days at their own store, and provide feedback for the Saga trade team on areas such as incentives, offers and marketing.
Iain Powell (pictured), Saga’s head of trade sales, said: “Their knowledge and enthusiasm for our fabulous over-50s holidays is really important to our business and we look forward to continuing our fun and productive working relationships in the future.”
Suzi Anderson from Acomb Travel, in York, said: “I am absolutely delighted to have been chosen as a Saga Star and I cannot wait to get started on the programme. I love the products and I am really looking forward to giving Saga even more support this year.”
Ian Le-Fevre from Travel Counsellors added: “Having the opportunity to work alongside a niche market operator and offer balanced feedback from agents and customers about the Saga product, pricing, brochures, service levels, customer care and the booking process can only be beneficial to all.
“I’m also looking forward to targeting a new customer sector to grow my own business.”
