Arena River Cruises rejoins Clia

Arena River Cruises has rejoined trade body Clia as the line looks to develop its relationships with the travel trade in the UK and Ireland.

Ahead of the 2020 cruise season, the line, formerly known as The River Cruise Line, has been rebranded as Arena River Cruises and will also welcome a revamped ship into its fleet on March 31.

Earlier this month, parent company Arena Travel launched a new website showcasing all of its brands including escorted holidays by rail, craft and bridge holidays and special interest breaks.

The site has been designed to offer improved search and booking functionality as well as more content and a live chat.

Steve Goodenough, Arena River Cruises managing director, said: “We’re very pleased to have rejoined Clia and look forward to showcasing the new brand, as well as our new ship Arena over the coming months.

“The membership provides an excellent opportunity for us to develop our network of agents across the UK and Ireland.

“We’re very keen to hear from independent and like-minded agents who are interested in expanding further into the river cruising market.”

Andy Harmer, Clia UK & Ireland, said: “Following the company’s rebrand and new website, this is an ideal time for the Arena River Cruises to be able to engage with Clia travel agents, guiding them through the benefits of the new changes.”
