Agent engagement in Thai tourism growing during lockdown

Trade interest in learning about Thailand from home via webinars during lockdown is booming, according to the country’s tourism authority.

The next live sessions are taking place on June 10 and 17 for an hour from 10.30am.

The training covers itinerary ideas and product updates plus a chance to win £100 Love2shop vouchers.

Tourism Authority of Thailand UK and Ireland trade marketing manager Betsie Barr said: “We’ve seen a 900% increase in engagement with Thailand Expert recently with 325 new registrations in May alone so it’s really encouraging to see so many agents boosting their knowledge and confidence in selling Thailand.

“The first session, June 3, is full already but we’re looking to add new dates to meet the amazing demand from agents.

“The sessions are designed to be two-way with plenty of opportunities for agents to ask us questions and we’ll be running live polls too to gauge their thoughts and track any recent enquiries or bookings for Thailand.

“We’re interested to know if consumers are booking, which travel period is it for.”
