Advantage increases range of UK and villa suppliers

Advantage Travel Partnership has increased its range of UK and villa partners after a review of its supplier list to meet increased demand for specific holiday types.

The travel agency consortium is anticipating a rise in enquiries to its members for holidays at home this summer and for stays in villas abroad as a result of the Covid-19 crisis.

The consortium has been in discussion with a number of operators in recent weeks after identifying gaps in its supplier portfolio.

The consortium is poised to add The UK Holiday Group, which includes Grand UK; Glenton Holidays and Palmer Holidays to its supplier list while Advantage business partner Anzcro has recently partnered with UK motorhome and campervan operator Spaceships, which members will now be able to book for clients wanting a staycation.

The consortium’s own tour operator Advantage Holidays is also increasing its focus on UK holidays, with a dedicated page on its website and more lodge, cabin and holiday home packages including local experiences.

In addition, the consortium has also added more villa operators to its supplier list as it predicts increased demand for more secluded holidays.

New suppliers include Ocean Florida, which specialises in flight inclusive villa packages to Florida with 18,000 hotels and villas plus car hire and attraction tickets, and The Villa Collection.

Kelly Cookes, leisure director at Advantage, said: “Covid-19 will undoubtedly change the way we travel, how we choose a holiday and where we go this year and beyond.

“To support members to capitalise on an increase in demand for staycations and villa based holidays we have partnered with some fantastic brands which we believe will help our members deliver what the British travelling public really want this summer.”
