Win a holiday for two to Madeira or the Azores

Portugal’s national tourist office has teamed up with Travel Weekly to create a training video aimed at helping agents sell winter holidays to Madeira and the Azores – and there are two holidays to these island archipelagos up for grabs to agents who watch the webinar and answer the questions at the end.

Madeira and the Azores remain on the roll of destinations exempt from Foreign Office advice against travel to Portugal, and were also included on the list of quarantine-free travel corridors for holidaymakers from England, Wales and Northern Ireland (although Scottish travellers would need to self-isolate on their return).

To give agents an introduction to these destinations’ key selling points along with an update on Covid-19 entry requirements, Turismo de Portugal – along with partners from regional tourist boards the Madeira Promotion Bureau and Azores Promotion Board – has created a training video aimed at UK agents.

Watch the webinar

Those who view the webinar and correctly answer the questions below will go into a prize draw to win one of two holidays to Portugal. The prizes to be won are:

  • Madeira: five-night stay for two people with breakfast at a four-star hotel, plus activities including a walking tour, dolphin and whale watching and dinner for two including drinks
  • Azores: three-night stay for two people with breakfast at the Hotel Marina Atlantico in Ponta Delgada

For your chance to win, simply watch the webinar and answer the following questions.

Q1. What is the name of the water channels covering the surface of Madeira, used for walking by most visitors?

Q2. How many islands make up the Azores?

Submit your answers before the closing date of October 9 to be entered into the prize draw. Terms and conditions apply.
