Attraction World begins consultation with staff

Attraction World has begun a consultation with staff over potential redundancies.

The attractions specialist did not say how many staff were involved in the consultation but confirmed operational and administrative roles would be affected.

The company secured a seven-figure loan from the government in July as it looked to battle the impact of the Covid-19 crisis on the travel industry, when it warned that some redancies would be ‘inevitable’.

A spokesperson said: “This continues to be a very challenging time for our industry and, like all businesses, we closely monitor trading levels and endeavour to match operational capacity with demand.

“As a result of this, we are currently undergoing a consultation period with a number of our employees within operational and administrative functions.

“Our commitment to supporting the trade remains as strong as it has always been and we look forward to the time when our industry can return to more normal levels of business.”
