G Adventures launches largest-ever Cyber Sale

G Adventures has launched its biggest-ever Cyber Sale, offering discounts on tours, low deposits and deals on single rooms for tours taken next year.

The 2021 ‘sale’ is themed around the number 21 – so will run for 21 days and applies to holidays departing from January 1 to December 21, 2021.

Discounts of up to 21% are available, as well as deposits of £1, and 21% off the operator’s ‘My Own Room’ offer, for travellers wanting more space to themselves.

Europe Middle East and Africa MD director Brian Young said the fact the Cyber Sale was running for longer than usual gave agents “lots of time to really get behind the campaign and raise awareness”.

G Adventures has created a suite of digital assets for agents to use to promote the sale.

“In the current environment, agents haven’t got the time or the money to spend on marketing so we have created a load of assets for them which they can go into and edit to add on their very own call to action,” said Young.

He said there were “social tiles” available that agents could bespoke with their own branding and contact details to post straight to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

G Adventures has also created campaign posters that can be white-labelled and mailed out to agents’ databases. Young said there was a choice of imagery for agents to pick from which best suits their clientele, plus a free text box to complete before downloading.

Both are available in G Adventures’ asset library which agents need to register for to gain access.

Young said the adventure specialist was also offering two videos for agents to download to help inspire and reassure their customers about booking.

One is a an edit of some of the tours that G Adventures ran in September and October with its new ‘Travel with Confidence’ protocols in place, while the other is more inspirational, inviting customers to “book now, travel later”.

“They are great for agents to put out to their customer databases. It just might tweak their mindset into booking. We know that there is enormous pent-up demand but we need to inspire people again. We want them to see our tours, and then book them so they can look forward to them,” said Young.

He added that news about advances in a sophisticated test and release system, plus the announcement of an effective vaccine possibly being available by Christmas, were great news for the travel sector.

And he said that all search data that G Adventures was tracking – and sharing with agent partners – was clearly showing that when travel re-starts, more people are going to be looking for bucket-list adventures with friends and family to tick off their lists.

“We can see in the data that this is going to be at the forefront of the return. You only have to look at people’s Facebook pages to see how much they are out walking and exploring. It’s a definite trend that people are going to only want to do more of when they can travel and that is exactly the type of product that we offer all over the world,” said Young.
