Tradewind Voyages signs on board entertainments deal

A deal as been signed by cruise start-up Tradewind Voyages for entertainment to be provided on board its sailing ship Golden Horizon.

The Peel Entertainment Group will provide an entertainment and activities programme.

The company will also recruit and train activities staff, including the voyage director, hosts, musicians, marine sports, spa and retail on board the 270-passenger vessel due to launch in May 2021.

Peel will also provide destination speakers from an in-house talent agency.

Managing director Susannah Daley said: “We are delighted to partner with Tradewind Voyages and to be able to look positively to the future at what has been a challenging time for the industry.

“We will be working together to evolve the guest experience on board this unique sailing ship.

“We are impressed with the Tradewind Voyages philosophy of working with nature, focusing on culture and celebrating maritime history.

“We will be making a programme of local cultural experiences, fun and active water sports and happy, chilled on board entertainment.”

The line’s chief executive Stuart McQuaker added: “We chose Peel as our partner because they have been supplying award-winning on board entertainment for over 20 years, with a background in ground-breaking initiatives, they also share our strong enrichment and cultural drive.

“We know they have made many innovations in the maritime industry and we are looking forward to developing a very unique programme on board Golden Horizon, which will put the guests’ well-being and sense of adventure at the centre of ship’s experience.”
