Relaunched cruise line Swan Hellenic has recruited experienced cruise expedition leader Pierre Thomas.
He joins after 26 years working for brands including Linblad, Metropolitan Touring, Noble Caledonia and Silversea.
Thomas has led expeditions on the water, under sea and overland by motorbike.
He lectures in five languages on topics as varied as tropical fish, African history, the Panama Canal and Central American post-World War II politics.
The cultural expedition cruise brand is set to resume sailings in November 2021 with the first of three purpose-built ships.
