KLM will operate its first flights from Exeter airport to Amsterdam Schiphol from the end of March.
The 90-minute flights will depart from Exeter at 5.20pm and from Amsterdam at 4.15pm seven days a week.
The services will be operated by KLM Cityhopper and use an 88-seat Embraer 175 regional jet aircraft.
Passengers can choose between economy and business class, as well as premium comfort on long-haul intercontinental flights.
These will be the first flights to the Dutch capital from Exeter airport since 2019.
Jerome Salemi, Air-France-KLM UK and Ireland general manager, said: “We are very excited to launch Exeter as KLM’s 18th departure point from the UK to Amsterdam and beyond.
“We hope our new services will contribute towards the economic, touristic, and cultural development of the region and the local community. We look forward to working with Exeter airport on making this route a success.”
Stephen Wiltshire, Exeter airport managing director, hailed the move by KLM as “a tremendous boost for regional connectivity”.
He added: “We are hugely excited by the opportunities KLM will create for passengers across the southwest. Flights will operate every day of the week, providing a fantastic gateway for both business and leisure travellers from their local airport.”
