Liverpool flights ramp up for Champions League final

As many 24 flights from Liverpool to Paris are scheduled for this week ahead of the Champions League in the French capital on Saturday.

There will be more flights on the route between May 23-29 than the whole of January, February and March 2022 combined, according to aviation analytics firm Cirium.

Only two services ran last week between Merseyside and Paris but the 24 direct flights will provide 4,674 seats for fans travelling to the match between Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Saturday is set to be the busiest day, with 11 flights due to take off from Liverpool to Paris.

Twelve flights from Paris to Liverpool the following day will help return supporters home.

Ryanair is set to provide the most flights, followed by Vueling, easyJet and ASL Airlines France.
