Wendy Wu Tours offers business class upgrades after sales spike

Wendy Wu Tours is offering free business class upgrades after a spike in demand for travel in the last quarter of 2021.

The Asia specialist operator also reported a “strong upturn” in bookings for travel in 2022 and 2023 since UK prime minister Boris Johnson announced his roadmap out of lockdown on February 22.

Upgrades are available for flights booked for travel in 2021, 2022 and 2023, and are applicable to any airline, flying from any UK airport with savings up to £2,300, the operator said.

Bookings must be made by March 31, 2021.

It follows a free flights offer the company was running up to February 28

Forward sales for Japan’s 2022 cherry blossom season are up more than 300% year on year.

John Warr, global sales director at Wendy Wu said: “As the vaccination process continues to make progress, demand will intensify even more than it is already.

“Even with these new dates added for 2022, there is going to be limited availability to meet the pent-up demand for not being able to travel, a factor which we’ve all experienced over the last 12 months.

“Now is certainly the time to book, to avoid disappointment of not getting that well-deserved holiday in 2022 and beyond into 2023.”

He added: “Our Business Class upgrade offers represent huge savings and are undoubtedly one of the most luxurious additions to your holiday and so we encourage agents everywhere to take advantage of these offers now and make that eagerly awaited first trip overseas again for their customers, one of the best experiences of a lifetime.

“Our number one priority is to the trade and giving agents the full support they need to convert leads into bookings.”
