Emerald Cruises has included a new 11-day Danube river cruise in its 2023 Europe cruise collection.

The Great Danube sailing from Passau to Belgrade in April 2023 is one of the new options available in the programme, which also includes debut city-stay extensions including Copenhagen, Munich and Oktoberfest and Seville.

Excursions on the Great Danube itinerary include a vineyard hike with tasting in Weissenkirchen in Austria, a visit to Serbia’s Novi Sad for a panoramic bike ride and wine tasting at Sremski Karlovci.

Prices for the cruise start at £3,295, with a super earlybird offer for a balcony suite starting from £3,745.

Those sailing selected Rhine itineraries can extend their trip with three nights in Copenhagen.  The 11-day Jewels of the Rhine cruise with Copenhagen extension starts from £2,820 and departs on April 28.

New ports of call have also been added for the eight-day Danube Delights itinerary, which takes in the Austrian market town of Engelhartszell and the historic city of Krems, which is known for its wine production. Prices start from £1,945

Offers available for early bookings made before February 28 include savings of up to £1,400 per couple and a free premium drinks package. Super earlybird offers are available when paying in full 12 months before departure.

All prices include return flights (or travel via Eurostar and rail), transfers, cruises, gratuities, all on board meals and included excursions.
