B2B travel events specialist Connections is to host the sixth edition of the California Luxury Forum in partnership with Visit California in October.

The event will take place in San Luis Obispo County (Slo Cal) from October 23-26 and will showcase luxury travel providers in addition to 30 hand-picked buyers from around the world.

Connections is part of the portfolio of Travel Weekly parent Jacobs Media Group, and specialises in forging business relationships through shared memorable experiences.

Caroline Beteta, chief executive of Visit California, said: “I’m excited to take this exceptional programme to California’s incredible Central Coast to really show the breadth of what California has to offer.

“Visit California is extremely proud of the state’s partnership with Connections, which is a platform unlike anything else in the world. We’re looking forward to welcoming a critical industry segment to Slo Cal this fall.”

Chuck Davison, chief executive of Visit SLO CAL, said: “Luxury travel remains an important market for Slo Cal. Hosting the California Luxury Forum allows us to showcase our destination and connect with key regional markets across the globe. We are excited for the opportunity to share Slo Cal, partner assets and world-class experiences with the luxury community.”

Greg Reeves, managing director of Connections, said: “Since the launch of the Luxury Forum in 2019, we’ve seen the programme grow from strength-to-strength, with each edition receiving a 100% satisfaction rate from our luxury buyers, resulting in hundreds of thousands of dollars in predicted travel spend to California.

“We can’t wait to introduce Slo Cal to our buyer community, adding another extraordinary Californian destination to their product portfolios. It will be a brand- new experience for many, and the region is ready and waiting to welcome the luxury traveller.”
