Cosmos promotion capitalises on rising US and Canada demand

Cosmos and sister brand Globus have launched a two-month promotion to capitalise on increasing demand.

The promotion runs until October 31 and focuses on 2022 departures to the US and Canada, highlighting iconic destinations such as Route 66, Memphis, Nashville, the national parks and historical cities in eastern Canada.

Each week a ‘tour or cruise of the week’ is being highlighted at a fixed-price fare as part of the promotion with United Airlines and Air Canada. Discounts of up to £150 are available for bookings made by October 31.

Travel agents have access to a range of assets to promote the deals, including social media, window cards, in-store posters and email templates, while a campaign will also run with Classic FM radio station from September 20 for two weeks.

The operators have also brought out a 2022 Touring Guide Travel Planner. The new 2022 brochure is available online and in print for agencies to rack.

The operator said it was the right time to start driving forward sales following an increase in traffic to the website and agent feedback of more enquiries.

Chief executive Giles Hawke said: “Now, finally, with access increasing to countries across the globe, we can move on from melancholy and make plans for moving experiences. It’s time to make comeback plans to the world we miss.”

Specially priced tours in the promotion include the 14-day Golden West Adventure from £2,099 including flights, based on departures from Heathrow in March, April, May and June 2022.

The tour starts and ends in Los Angeles and includes Scottsdale, Arizona; the Grand Canyon (pictured); Las Vegas; San Francisco and the Pacific Highway.
