Portugal removes all Covid entry restrictions

Portugal has dropped all Covid entry restrictions for both vaccinated and unvaccinated visitors.

As of July 1, fully jabbed arrivals no longer need to show proof of vaccination, while the testing mandate has also been removed for those who have not been vaccinated.

The Visit Portugal website has been updated and states: “As of July 1, 2022, passengers entering national territory are no longer required to present proof of carrying out a test to screen for SARS-CoV-2 infection with a negative result or to present a Covid digital certificate or vaccination or recovery certificate.”

Face masks remain mandatory on public transport, in taxis and when visiting care homes, nursing homes and health facilities.

Social distancing and frequent hand washing also continue to be advised.
