Rabbie’s launches two sustainable tours in Scotland

Small group tour specialist Rabbie’s has launched two new sustainable and responsible trips in partnership with VisitScotland.

The holidays are part of the operator’s new ‘We Care About There’ initiative which aims to provide sustainable, responsible travel along with memorable and ethical experiences.

The two-day Whisky & Castles tour visits two Scottish distilleries that have won green tourism gold awards – Cardhu and Dalwhinnie – plus Cairngorms National Park.

Prices begin at £115 and tours depart throughout the summer from Edinburgh.

Orkney & Scotland’s Northern Coast is a five-day tour that takes guests to meet locals who have dedicated their lives caring for Scotland’s cultural heritage.

It visits Glencoe and Rannoch Moor; Loch Ness; Skara Brae and Ring of Brodgar; Culloden; and John o’Groats. Prices start at £379 and tours depart throughout the summer.

Rabbie’s has championed several environmentally conscious initiatives over the years. It uses mini-coaches that help it to support the economy of small communities, and imposed a carbon tax on itself, which so far has raised more than £120,000 for environmental and social projects.

Additionally, Rabbie’s hosts staff volunteer days, and encourages a “leave no trace policy” on every outing.
