The Good Travel Agent has brought out a bookable price comparison website to help its franchise owners attract more sales.
The site, part of the benefits package for agents who join the parent franchise company, The Good Travel Franchise, currently has six tour operators signed up, including Jet2holidays and Tui, and said it is in talks with more to provide API links to pull through content on to the site.
The suppliers load live prices and availability on the site, which consumers can browse through to choose the best price for their chosen holiday. Consumers are then directed to an agent’s site to book. Each franchise owner has their own links to promote holidays on the site.
Agents will receive a trackable link when customers book through their site which ensures they receive commission and allows them to contact the customers who book through their site to sell additional services such as excursions or airport hotels.
Chief executive and co-founder Jake Cullum-Hollins said: “I am super-excited to be launching this one of a kind website for our agents.
“This website allows customers to compare holidays from our partner suppliers and book online but with the added benefit of a personal travel agent.
“This gives our franchise owners another string to their bow to help them increase their earning potential.”
The company, which currently has 30 agents, takes a 25% share of all commissions made by its agents, while the franchise owners get the remaining 75%.
Cullum-Hollins said the company hoped to get more operators on the price comparison site and urged interested suppliers to get in touch.
“We are working closely with other tour operators to also integrate their products and services into our website and aim to be the go to comparison site for holidays in the near future, which will benefit our business and franchise owners alike,” he added.
