An array facilities for families and children on board new ship MSC World Europa have been unveiled.

MSC Cruises’ largest ever kids’ area will span more than 766m2 across seven distinct spaces dedicated to different age groups from 0 to 17 years old.

Features including drone relay races, a room celebrating Lego, a digital game show, pickleball and hoverboards, have been created for the ship which is due to enter service in December.

MSC World Europa is the first MSC World Class ship with capacity for  up to 6,762 passengers.

The vessel will run seven-night voyages until March next year from Dubai to Abu Dhabi and Sir Bani Yas Island in the United Arab Emirates, Dammam in Saudi Arabia and Doha in Qatar.

Summer 2023 seven-night sailings in the Mediterranean cover calls at the Italian ports of Genoa, Naples and Messina, as well as Valletta in Malta, Barcelona and Marseille.

MSC Cruises’ entertainments manager Matteo Mancini said: “We have invested heavily in the entertainment offering for our younger guests, and we know they value the latest technology, trends and experiences.

“We have worked to introduce real innovations in both the design of the facilities as well as the development of an incredible programme of activities, all carefully planned to ensure that the differing needs of all age groups are met – from our youngest guests through to teenagers.

“More than 350,000 young people who have travelled with us over the years and we have listened to their feedback. MSC World Europa reflects these learnings and we have been inspired to create experiences that blend technology and social media with activity and sport to create fresh and new entertainment for the kids who sail with us.”
