Leger Holidays taps into ‘You Only Live Once’ syndrome with 2023 tours

Leger Holidays has released 2023 holidays to tap into a trend towards extended ‘tours of a lifetime’ to make up for a lost year in lockdown.

The escorted tours specialist has included its Grand Explorer tours to destinations such as New Zealand, the US and Asia as among the early release of 185 holidays with £50 deposits.

Head of retail sales Ashley Dellow said: “Travel agents are reporting that customers are making up for a no holiday year by booking ahead, so they have something to look forward to.

“And with the money saved on travelling they are going for bigger holidays, maybe holidays of a lifetime like in our ‘Grand Explorer’ collection; YOLO syndrome – You Only Live Once – has kicked in.

“Selling these holidays is a wonderful opportunity for travel agents to start making substantial commission again.”

A selection of holidays for solo travellers have been released for 2023 including ‘Treasures of Tuscany’, ‘Highlights of Majorca’, ‘Spring and Autumn in Lake Garda’ and ‘Spectacular Spain’.

Date specific tours are also included coveting the 2023 Venice Carnival, Nice Carnival and Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
