Abta’s John de Vial to fundraise with 100km challenge

John de Vial, Abta’s special adviser to the chief executive, will take on a 100km challenge this weekend (September 11-12) to raise money for Abta Lifeline.

He will be taking part in the Ultra Thames Path Challenge, which takes participants from Putney to Henley.

He said: “I am doing it to support Abta Lifeline and industry colleagues and help regain a bit of post lockdown Covid fitness.

“Abta Lifeline is experiencing fundraising challenges in this terrible crisis for our industry, while the need to help industry colleagues has never been greater, not least as furlough comes to an end.”

Any donations can be made via his Just Giving page.

De Vial is an experienced fundraiser and marathon runner, having last year surpassed his target of raising £100,000.
