Clia is to host an expedition summit for the first time as an addition to its 2025 conference in Southampton.
The conference, which will run from May 22 to 24, has also added Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas to the list of ships available for delegates to visit.
The expedition summit on May 21 will include a ship tour, sales training and product sales and will be hosted on Swan Hellenic’s SH Vega in Portsmouth.
On the same day, the optional “New to Selling Cruise Day” will return for its second year in Southampton.
It will combine sales training and brand introductions from suppliers for agents who are new to the sector.
Both pre-conference opportunities are available to delegates when they register and are subject to availability.
The first day of the conference will include business sessions and a full industry trade fair in the evening at Southampton-based venues.
Delegates can choose between visiting Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Balmoral, P&O Cruises’ Britannia or Oceania Cruises’ Vista on day two, followed by a sailaway party in the evening.
On the final day, delegates have the option of visiting Independence of the Seas, MSC Virtuosa or Sky Princess.
The conference opens for registration on October 8 at 12pm, and Clia Embarc ID cardholders will receive an exclusive discount link.
Andy Harmer, managing director of Clia UK & Ireland, said: “Clia Conference offers an unbeatable mix of in-person agent opportunities, so we’re counting down to next year and the biggest event in the trade calendar.
“The conference sold out in record time last year, and we’re anticipating demand will be equally as strong this time around, so agents are advised to register as soon as possible to confirm their place.”
