TakeTwo Travel becomes GlobalStar partner

Boutique business travel agency TakeTwo Travel Solutions has become a partner in GlobalStar Travel Management.

TakeTwo Travel chief executive Chris Thelen (pictured) joins the board of GlobalStar, a worldwide travel management organisation operating in more than 2,500 locations in 55 countries.

The TMC, established last year, has locations in the City of London, New York, Los Angeles, Houston and Cork.

Thelen said: “I am delighted that TakeTwo will be joining the GlobalStar network and that I will be taking a seat on the board.

“Our strategic partnership with GlobalStar will not only expand our global presence further, but also add another $12 billion to our global leverage.

“Our synchronised, transatlantic solution, operating from our wholly owned hubs, provides a unique service solution not available in the market for corporates, where travel is a key component to their company’s success.

“Our focus is on organic growth through customer acquisition, not serial M&A’s, listings or building share of wallet solutions, like many of the global mega-agencies.

“TakeTwo is a dynamic, viable, alternative solution for international companies who need customised booking solutions in their local markets, along with local knowledge and expertise, and increased leverage with their suppliers.”

GlobalStar chief executive James Stevenson said: “TakeTwo is an independent, boutique TMC with values and a purpose that mirror those of every member of our network.

“Their passion for personalised travel, outstanding service and knowledge, together with their unswerving commitment to redefining travel technology and its application resonates with us. They add both strength and depth to our geographical footprint both sides of the Atlantic that will only enhance every GlobalStar travel programme.

“Chris joins our board and I have no doubt that he will be generous with his experience and time.”
