C&M Travel Recruitment has hailed a “truly positive” month after the number of vacancies, candidates and placements rose both month on month and year on year for the first time in more than three years.
The figures for June show the number of candidates reached the highest level since January 2025, 17 months previously, representing a 31% increase from May and a 38% rise on June last year.
The number of candidates who found new jobs in June rose by 56% compared with the previous month and by 9% compared with June last year. The total number of placements was the highest since November.
C&M Travel Recruitment also cited a “strong increase” in the number of travel jobs being made available, noting a 31% increase on May and an 11% rise compared with the previous June.
Barbara Kolosinska, the firm’s co-owner and managing director, said: “After a run of inconsistency, last month was a truly positive one for travel recruitment.
“We saw new job vacancies, candidates and placements rising both month on month and year on year for the first time in three and a half years – since January 2023!
“July and August is a traditionally quieter period for the sector, but June’s figures provide great momentum as we head into the heart of the summer.
“The travel jobs market is now the busiest it’s been for some time with many fantastic opportunities available for those looking to progress their career and those wanting to add great talent to their team.”
