Involved Holidays has added Newquay to its network of UK airports, bringing its total of regional departure options to 21.
The addition gives agents across Cornwall and the wider southwest direct access to the operator’s portfolio of guided, small-group walking holidays without the need to travel further afield to reach an airport.
The addition of Newquay also further strengthens the operator’s existing commercial partnership with The Travel Network Group and TTNG member Newell’s Travel – which has 11 agencies in Cornwall and Devon – plus other independent agencies across the region.

Steve West, managing director at Involved Holidays, said: “Adding Newquay to our network is great news for our agent partners in Cornwall and across the southwest.
“It removes a real barrier for clients who previously had to travel some distance to reach a departure airport, and it reflects the strength of our relationship with TTNG and Newell’s Travel agencies in the region, plus our other independent agencies across Cornwall and Devon.
“Taking our network to 21 departure airports is a clear commitment to making our holidays as accessible as possible for agents to sell, wherever their clients are based.”
Beverley Townsend, manager at Newell’s Travel in Truro, added: “The addition of Newquay as a departure point for Involved Holidays means more convenience for our clients and an increased ease of sale for our agents.
“Offering customers the option to depart from a local airport is always met with enthusiasm and for us in the southwest, travel to the departure point can add significant time to an overall journey.
“Newquay simplifies this greatly and gives our customers almost seamless access to a range of expertly guided walking holidays in some of Europe’s most beautiful regions.”
The Newquay departure point is bookable for travel agents now across several itineraries, including Walking in the Costa Blanca, Walking in Andalucia’s Eastern Coast, Walking in Eastern Algarve and Walking in Sierra de Mijas.
