Podcasting agent seals £26k booking while ‘dangling off cliff’

Homeworking agent Becky Walker sealed a £26,000 cruise booking while “dangling off” a coastal cliff as part of a charity fundraiser.

The booking with HX Expeditions was confirmed while Club Voyages consultant Walker was suspended over the sea in Pembrokeshire.

She was taking part in the overnight challenge with Jake Cullum-Hollins, chief executive of The Good Travel Agent, who is her co-host on the Tales of A Travel Agent podcast.

Together the pair have raised more than £1,300 with their adventurous cliff-camping, in aid of Tanzanian charity Good Hope Moshi and Adoption Focus in the UK.

She said the booking was made “in the true style of adventure” and maintains “the ‘I can work from anywhere’ vibes”.

Walker said most of the booking had been sorted beforehand but the client hadn’t paid the deposit, so she had been waiting with “bated breath”.

When she saw the payment had been made, she breathed a sigh of relief, as it meant another booking was “in the bag”.
