Reuben’s Retreat is featured in a high-profile travel-themed advertising campaign in Manchester using the slogan ‘Nothing beats an inclusive holiday’.
The campaign slogan aims to help raise vital funds for four accommodation suites at the charity’s retreat for bereaved families or families caring for children with complex medical needs.
The campaign highlights the distinction between a traditional all-inclusive holiday and its own inclusive breaks by showing “all” scribbled out next to a child’s drawing of a family.

Another advert features the wording: “Lounge pass… or life-changing donation? Swap your holiday add-on to help us complete the retreat.”
The campaign, which runs until August 21, supports the charity’s ‘Complete the Retreat’ fundraising appeal.
It follows gifted digital media space from Ocean Outdoor and creative support from agency McCann Manchester.
The adverts feature across premium city centre locations in Manchester, including Piccadilly Gardens and Spinningfields. Ocean Outdoor provided the outdoor advertising space, while McCann Manchester donated its time and expertise to create the campaign.
Reuben’s Retreat founder Nicola Graham, pictured with her son Isaac, who works in the travel trade for Hays Travel, thanked both companies for supporting the charity’s project to finish the retreat. Six of the project’s 10 phases have already been completed.
She said: “The charity was launched in memory of my precious son Reuben, who sadly passed away aged 23 months.
“We have cherished memories of family holidays we spent together with him and his brother – but for families caring for a child with complex medical needs, there can be significant barriers to taking a holiday.
“From specialist equipment needs and accessibility requirements to increased travel and insurance costs, the practical challenges can be overwhelming.
“We wanted to create a special place, in a beautiful setting in the Peak District, where families who care for a poorly child or who have lost a child can spend precious time together, and feel reassured that the space has been created precisely with them in mind.”
She added: “We are so very grateful to Ocean Outdoor and McCann for their generously gifted support in helping us to get our message out there to more people – be it people who may feel they have a little time or money to spare, or those who could benefit from our services.
“And we’d like to thank the public. By supporting this appeal, you will be contributing to something truly special, helping families who are navigating some of life’s most challenging circumstances.”
