Tipto has hosted more than 2,000 agents during its annual programme of events – a record number.
The marketing and networking organisation hosted 2,037 agents at 35 training events during its 27th year, which runs from September until the end of August.
The agents joined 26 suppliers at 31 roadshows and four SuperShow events to boost their product knowledge and improve sales conversions.
More than half the agent attendees (55%) in the year were brand new to Tipto, compared to 48% for the previous year.
The trend for increasing numbers of homeworkers to attend Tipto events has also continued. In total, 48% of agents at events were homeworkers compared with 42% in year 26.
Tipto chairman Vishal Patel said: “We’re delighted to have hit a record number of agent attendees in year 27.
“To have met and trained 2,037 agents across the year takes us to the highest number of attendees we’ve ever hosted across a total of 35 events – both our roadshow speed dating format and our exhibition style SuperShows.”
Looking ahead to Tipto’s 28th year, he added: “The bar is now set incredibly high, but we’re all ready for the challenge so I’d urge all agents to look out for next year’s events at a regional location near them.”
In testimonials, agents reported bookings they had made following Tipto events.
Charter Travel booked an £11,000 trip to the Galapagos with Exoticca after Tipto’s race day in Newbury, Plan Your World made its first Ambassador Cruise Line sale after a Tilbury ship visit and Lincolnshire Co op Travel in Grantham made a booking worth more than £18,000 with Travelpack after a roadshow in Nottingham.
Agents also cited the friendly atmosphere and product information and tips available at Tipto events.
In addition, Tipto partnered with Ambassador Cruise Line to host two separate onboard lunches during the year for 84 agents in total at Liverpool Cruise Terminal and London’s Tilbury Port.
