Rising cruise, Med holidays and long-haul travel sales helped Travel Counsellors deliver a strong trading period in the last four weeks.
The homeworking business saw an 11% year on year increase in overall group sales in the period, with the UK premium leisure business making a “significant contribution”, recording 17% growth compared with the same period last year.
Demand has remained positive across a range of destinations and travel types, the company noted.
Cruise sales increased by 24% over the past four weeks, while Mediterranean travel grew by 13%, driven mainly by Italy and Greece.
Long-haul travel also performed well, with sales to the US up 10%. Africa, up 69%, and South East Asia, up 32%, also recorded strong growth over the same period.
Global chief executive Steve Byrne said: “We’re really pleased with our latest trading performance.
“These results are further evidence of the strength of our model and, above all, of the incredible care and commitment our community continues to show their customers and the trust customers continue to place in them.
“Our ambition is to build the most personalised, productive and scalable human-led travel platform in our chosen markets. That means creating the conditions for talented travel entrepreneurs to build successful, enduring businesses of their own, while keeping the human relationship at the heart of the customer experience.
“It is the combination of our people, the insight and data built through trusted customer relationships, our technology and our collective scale that creates real value.
“Used together, they help our people work smarter, understand and serve customers more personally, grow stronger businesses and spend more time on the human relationships that make the difference.
“As we scale, we’ll keep investing in that combination - helping our Travel Counsellors build stronger businesses while delivering even more personal experiences for their customers.”
