Travelpack has brought out its first Albania programme to tap into rising demand for the destination.
The new collection will appear in a Greece & Albania e-brochure, which boasts a new ‘travel magazine’ format with a ‘social media feel’ in a departure from the operator’s previous brochures and the blueprint for its future programmes.
Albania has been offered by Travelpack in the past but never proactively promoted in a dedicated programme. The 32-page Albania section of the brochure has been made available for agents to download ahead of the Greece programme.
It also the first time Greece has featured in a Travelpack brochure.
The brochure is aimed at providing an inspirational guide and includes new features such as ‘72 Hours in Tirana’; ‘Top 10 Things to do in Albania’; practical tips; and most commonly asked questions.
It features ‘from’ pricing only, without specific departure airports, and a small selection of the hotels available.
The operator is offering a range of holidays, from city breaks and twin-centres to self-drives and family, beach holidays, with stays at three to five stay hotels across the country.
The brochure features coastal resorts along the Albanian Riviera, particularly the Vlorë region, including Ksamil, described as the ‘Maldives of Europe’, Sarandë, Himarë and Dhërmi.
Greece and Albania product manager Natalie Batchelor, who hosted 60 agents at a launch event, said: “The aim here is really to spark interest and engagement in the destination.”
“I first visited Albania on a personal holiday around two years ago and absolutely fell in love with the country.
From that point onwards, it really became something I felt passionately about developing further within our product offering because it offers something unexpected – a combination of affordability, dramatic scenery, incredible beaches and fascinating history, all while still feeling raw and authentic.”
She described the destination as diverse, offering “a combination of affordability, dramatic scenery, incredible beaches and fascinating history” alongside modern and luxury hotels.
She added: “What is particularly exciting about Albania is the pace of development happening across the country right now. If you compare it to somewhere like Greece, which has had decades upon decades of tourism infrastructure, Albania is still very much at the beginning of its tourism journey.
“As a result, many of the hotels are incredibly modern, contemporary and stylish, with an impressive level of luxury. The beach clubs and bars are also exceptional, offering a chic atmosphere that many compare to Ibiza or Mykonos.
“It’s fair to say Albania is no longer simply ‘up and coming’ – it is now very firmly on the hot list of destinations to visit. The overall investment in tourism infrastructure is hugely impressive.”
In 2025, Albania welcomed more than 12 million visitors, and forecasts for 2027 predict numbers in excess of 14 million.
Travelpack offers three-night packages in Tirana, based on two adults sharing and travelling in May, June, September or October, from £399 per person.
