Virgin Atlantic and Celebrity Cruises are inviting travel agents to enter their Quid Quest competition, launching today (August 26), which offers the winner a Caribbean cruise and return flights with five friends as well as £20,000 in Celebrity Rewards credit.
Agents will need to log their bookings and climb the leaderboard until the top 100 participants are identified – alongside 100 ‘wildcards’ – and invited to elimination-style games in London and Manchester.
Six agents will progress to the grand final at the Clia Winter Ball on December 17, where the champion will be crowned.
Nicki Goldsmith, director of global agency sales at Virgin Atlantic, said: “Virgin Atlantic and Celebrity Cruises already work brilliantly together, so Quid Quest felt like the perfect opportunity to bring that partnership to life in a fresh, engaging way.
“Rather than simply rewarding bookings, we’ve created a campaign that’s interactive, competitive and fun from start to finish.”
To take part, agents will need to be members of Celebrity Central and Virgin Atlantic’s Sky High Club.
Bookings will be tallied until October 20, when the top 100 will be identified. Of those, 50 will be invited to an event in Manchester on November 24 and 50 will be invited to London on November 26.
The events will feature “immersive” challenges, with the top 20 on the leaderboard receiving an “extra life” to help them stay in the game longer.
In addition to the top 100, a total of 100 agents will be selected as wildcards and will also be invited to the events.
Agents will be able to earn extra points on the leaderboard by completing Quid Quest training modules.
Celebrity Cruises UK and Ireland managing director Claire Stirrup said: “At Celebrity Cruises, the trade is at the heart of our business which is why we are always looking for creative ways to incentivise and reward them.
“Quid Quest is one of our boldest agent incentives yet. We’re giving travel agents the chance to compete for an incredible £20,000 cash prize and a Caribbean fly-and-cruise holiday for themselves and five friends.
“It’s fun, competitive and rewarding, and we can’t wait to see who rises to the challenge and is crowned our ultimate winner.”
In addition to the £20,000 in Celebrity Rewards credit, the winner will receive three balcony cabins on a Caribbean sailing as well as return economy flights with Virgin Atlantic.
Participants must be 21 or over and be employed by a travel agency authorised to sell both Celebrity Cruises and Virgin Atlantic products.
Full terms and conditions can be found on the competition website.
Meanwhile, Celebrity Cruises has secured regional air allocations for selected 2027 European sailings, giving guests the option to fly from Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and Gatwick.
A wider range of regional airports, including Heathrow, Luton, Aberdeen, Belfast, Cardiff, Cork, Inverness, Newcastle, Norwich and Southampton, are also available, however availability varies by sailing and departure airport.
The regional air programme covers a range of Mediterranean itineraries in 2027, including sailings to Greece, Italy, Croatia, Turkey, Malta, Spain, Portugal and the French Riviera.
