Viking unveils 2021-22 round-the-world cruise

Viking has unveiled its 2021-22 Viking World Cruise, which will span 136 days, 27 countries and 56 ports.

The 930-passenger Viking Star will set sail from Fort Lauderdale on Christmas Eve, 2021, and the itinerary features three new ports of call for Viking: Phillip Island and Eden in Australia and Yangon in Myanmar.

It will visit Central America, the West Coast of North America, Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, Asia, the Middle East and the Mediterranean before ending the voyage in London.

Passengers can choose a shorter, 119-day portion of the sailing, called 2022 Viking World Horizons, which departs from Los Angeles on January 10, 2022, and visits 22 countries and 49 ports.

Prices start at £39,990 for the full Viking World Cruise and £35,990 for the 2022 World Cruise Horizons option. Rates are per person, based on double-occupancy, and include business-class air travel and transfers.

Torstein Hagen, Viking chairman, said: “For more than 20 years, we have been committed to providing our guests with immersive and culturally enriching experiences while travelling the world in comfort.

“This has been an unusual year for all travellers, but we remain focused on the future and are pleased to offer our guests a new destination-focused World Cruise that allows for extensive exploration in 2021-22.”
