Luxury Middle East supplement 2007 – 1 Mar 2007

There are as many definitions of luxury travel as there are types of traveller.

For some, luxury is about 24-hour butler service and gold taps in the bathroom. For others, it’s crunching their toes into silky white sand or standing before the pyramids at dawn.

Not only does the Middle East have it all, here the definition of quality is constantly being rewritten by hotels so luxurious they require new ratings, airlines dedicated to investing in their travellers and tourism services that are immaculate at every level.

All this against a backdrop of ancient civilisations and beautiful deserts languishing under the deep blue Middle Eastern sky. Now that’s what I call luxury.
