Solo traveller specialist Just You claims its first TV campaign has prompted a rise in enquiries of almost 500% year-on-year.
The operator has run a six-week regional campaign across the ITV network, focusing on the emotional benefits of sharing travel experiences when exploring the world as a solo traveller.
Alastair Campbell, Just You's managing director, said: "The advert showcases the amazing experiences that we offer globally and highlight the role of experienced tour managers in bringing that destination to life.
"The storyline is built around the fact that, although you are travelling solo, you are always in fantastic company with like-minded people, whether discovering authentic local cuisine or visiting iconic sites.”
The operator is also running its first early bird offer, which offers customers a saving of up to £500 on selected 2021 Just You holidays.
As well as prompting a "phenomenal” increase in enquiries, the operator said website traffic has soared, particularly for tours to the US, Croatia, Canada, Japan and Italy.
Campbell said another key element in the advert was a message to book with a local travel agent.
"Feedback from the trade has been fantastic. One of our agent partners called us to say they had a customer come into their high street shop and asked for Just You on the back of the TV advert,” he said.
"The reach that television has given us, with potentially 50% of adults in the UK viewing our advert is fantastic.
"Our goal is for ‘Just You' to be asked for and insisted on by travellers whether visiting their local travel agent or contacting us directly. With the encouraging early results, it looks to be an exciting year ahead.”
