The rapid changes in the economy over the past year mean businesses are having to cut costs and adapt quickly to changing consumer behaviour. At the same time, issues such as climate change pose huge challenges for the future.


 

Sustainable tourism is more relevant than ever, as this week's Green Issue of Travel Weekly argues.

Meanwhile, in destinations around the world, our water- and energy-saving programme is helping accommodation providers reduce their footprint and cut costs.


 

Hotels can save up to 25% on water and energy costs through a range of simple measures, including restricting the flow from showers and taps.


 

Minimising our footprint and looking after communities in the destinations we love to visit will help ensure a strong and profitable industry in the future. The Travel Foundation is here to help prepare for that future.
