Wizz Air unveils new Liverpool routes

Wizz Air is expanding its presence at Liverpool John Lennon airport with new flights to the southern Romanian city of Craiova.

Three flights a week will run from March 27, 2017, taking the budget airline’s number of weekly departures from Liverpool up to 20 for next summer.

 

 

Wizz Air previously announced plans to serve Lublin in Poland from May next year.

 

 

Craiova and will be the carrier’s seventh destination from Merseyside alongside flights to Lublin, Warsaw, Gdansk, Katowice, Riga and Budapest. Fares to Craiova start at £24.99 one way.

 

 

A Wizz Air spokeswoman said: “This is the first low-fare Wizz Air service from Liverpool to Romania and we hope that our UK customers will enjoy visiting Craiova and exploring cultural and historical heritage of the Oltenia region.

 

 

“With this announcement Wizz Air now offers easy access and low fare connections to seven destinations in four countries from Liverpool.”
